Animal Rampage
The plane was warm with the air from the open door. Africa was amazing. All the animals down below. I can just imagine the news papers“Stanly Morris world famous explorer” I can’t wait!
“Africais way different then Canada, eh?” Mitchell said in his loud voice. Meand Mitchell have been best friends ever since my parents died in that awful plane crash. We have gone on all our adventures together.
The helicopter was shaking under my sweaty hands as we drifted through theair. Gliding like the soft wing beat of the mighty eagle. “There it is!” Mitchell shouted. I looked out the plane window and there it was.The place we have been looking for for months. The beautiful waters ofHitchicucu. Mitchell sat down and clicked his buckle in. I could see him smiling bigger then ever. The plane lowered slowly. The crunch of the rocks was the only sound when we hit the rocky part of the beach.Mitchell screaming out a little girly scream. I looked over at himslowly. He looked back. We burst out laughing and jumping up and down.
We unbuckled and hopped out of the plane and started running, jumping and laughing. We were more happy then we had ever been in our whole lives. After years of being pushed around by our families, the two young menwere free to explore and do whatever they wished to do.
We ran around a bit more before jumping back into the helicopter. We slipped on our wet suits, goggles and flippers. We pulled out our airtanks and hooked them all up. We walked down to the water, waddling like ducks. They stood at the edge. Looking at their reflection.....1.......2.......3!!!!!!!!
We hopped in the water. The icy water was like thousands of needles allover my body. But we still went in anyway. After 30 minutes of being inthe water we got out sopping wet. The air tanks were heavy so I started to take it off.
Ilooked over at Mitchell, he was dead frozen in his tracks. His face wasfrozen with fear. I slowly turned my head to where Mitchell's eyes werefocused on. I stood frozen with fear. Water dripping down my face. Iwanted to let out a scream, just like the one Mitchell had let out anhour ago. But I knew I shouldn't. Twenty feet away a giant Elephant stood attacking the helicopter. He grabbed the the tail with his trunk and twisted it to the ground.
The elephant stopped and looked straight at us. It’s fierce eyes fixed onus. I couldn't breath. My fear had taken over my body. I had no ideawhat was going to happen. It’s eyes still on us. The crunching of rockswas the only thing that made me turn my head. Mitchell had let his fear take over his legs and he was running as fast as his skinny legs couldgo.
The screech of the Elephant came from behind. It was the loudest thing I had ever heard, and with that i was running as fast as my legs could carry me. I tripped over my own feet a couple of times but I did not look back because I could hear the heavy pounding of the elephants footsteps.
I felt a hand grab my wrist and yank me to the side. My body hitting the hard rocks. I looked around, it was all dark. I head my voice being called. Mitchell was sitting at the end of the cave he dragged me into.He was shaking from head to toe. The cave was freezing cold. We did not say a thing. The distant scream of an elephant let us know that it was okay to whisper, but we did not.
Theground started to vibrate, we looked around. What was going on? We were frightened, we had no idea what to do. Mitchell cupped a hand around his wide open mouth. He curled up into a tight ball.
Atthat second a giant elephant trunk flew into the cave. We both let out ear piercing screams. Then a man slid down the trunk. He jumped off and yelled “gotcha”!!!!
I was confused. Mitchell had fainted. What was going on. A quiet humstarted to fill the air. It was kinda like Music. The sound was gettinglouder and louder till..........BANG! Hundreds of people standing outside the cave with music. I was so confused. Mitchell’s eyes were everywhere.
The man who had slid down the trunk ran out of the cave, motioning usto follow him. I jumped up and ran out. Mitchell was right at my heels.I was dizzy. I stumbled out of the cave. I got down on my knees and Ilooked up at the wild eyed man.
I was shaking all over. Sweat beading down my forehead. The man gotdown on his knees. He put his face inches away from my face. “GOTCHA!”he shouted again. I looked around confused and scared. I glanced overat the giant elephant. There were 5 men crawling out of a whole in theside of the elephant.
Thefive men each grabbed a piece of the thick grey stuff hanging over thegiant body. Then one smooth movement. They tore down the grey revealinga bunch of wires, metal bars and more men. Even a couple of woman.
A woman in jeans and a light blue shirt walked over to me with cozylooking blanket. She had a kind looking face with rosy red cheeks, freckles and a nice sweet smile. She wrapped the blanket around me. Shethen turned and walked swiftly through the crowd of people hard atwork. She was like a ghost or a lost puppy.
I turned my attention over to the men explaining the whole story . Iturned out that me and Mitchell had been on a reality show called“animal rampage”. We told them that we had never seen or heard aboutit. They all looked surprised and We then explained how we had grown upwith no television.
The wild eyed man apologized for everything and bought us a newhelicopter. They gave us a ride back to Canada. They also gave us each$10,000 each. The one thing I have learned from this experience is thatHollywood is full of wackoes looking for fame. And I never wanna goback. What happens in Africa stays in Africa

Betty and her husband had been fighting a lot and decided that it would be good for them to take a vacation together. The next day they went to see Niagara Falls.
“The falls are so pretty don't you think Doug?” said Betty
“Ya, sure they are great” Said Doug sarcastically. That's when he got an idea. “You like the waterfalls so much? Go join em’ !” and with that hepushed Betty down into the water. He watched her tumble down and hit a rock. To his surprise she was still alive and she started to float down the river. He ran over to her to make sure she didn't get up, and she floated out to the sea. He sighed a sigh of relief.
Betty tumbled threw rocks and finally got to the sea. She tried her best to swim but she had broken her hip on the plummet. After about a half an hour of dodging waves she saw an island. She kicked her good leg and moved her arms rapidly. When she reached the beach she heaved herself up to the rocks so that anyone else on the island could find her. BAD idea.
“FOOD!!!!” yelled someone in the distance. A big shadow appeared down the beach and was coming closer to her. Soon she realised that it wasn't a shadow it was people painted from head to toe in war paint. When they reached her they put her on a big wooden chair and started carrying her up the mountain. The people yelling food should have tipped her off that something weird was going on but she just assumed that they were taking her to a hospital.
“My king we have brought you a feast!” said one of the villagers when they approached a man in a large gold chair. That's when it sunk in.These people weren't trying to help her, they were trying to eat her!
“You cant eat me!” yelled Betty “I'm a person, that's cannibalistic!”
“The peasant is correct,” said the king. “she is too small, she would barely be an appetizer.”
“Then what do you suppose we do with her?” asked another villager
“Send her into the ocean on a small raft!” Ordered the king.
So the villagers put Betty on a raft and pushed her out into the ocean. The sun was shining so hard that she passed out from heat frustration.
She drifted for hours slipping in and out of consciousness as the salty waves slapped at her face.
Betty woke up back on the mainland to see her husband pushing her raftinto the water again. She screamed as loud as she could butunfortunately she was super thirsty so nobody could hear her. She rolled off the raft and started crawling towards some people. Then she saw some one's beach bag with a cellphone in it so she called the police. By the time they got there Betty was floating away on he rraft. The police took her husband into custody and he was never allowed back to the waterfalls again.
Betty tried frantically to paddle back to the shore but she was so tired it didn't make any difference.
“Not again.” She moaned. “I have drifted for long enough in this ocean.”Thankfully this time she saw some drift wood and used it as a paddle. It helped her get to the cannibal island a lot faster.
“What am I going to do when I get back to the island, for all I know they have changed their minds about me. I will be killed for sure!” But when she got to the island they had changed their minds about her. They didn't want to eat her they wanted to make her their queen.
“When my ex-husband gets out of jail I want you to bring him to the island!”she ordered. When her husband got their they used him as a great feast and everybody was happy, well except for Doug.

Steven The Pond Terror
Jim and his best friend Bob walked down the trail to see the greatsight of the snow capped mountains and small leech infested pond. Jimwas walkiing around and he trips on a big rock and twists his ankle and he screams like a littlegirl.Jim asks Bob to eat two of the tacos then bob says “I lost all the tacos sorry”.
Threehours later Bob is pacing and he trips on a large rock and smashes his face on the ground and rolls into the water. There are leeches are all over Bob and Jim has to pull Bob out of the water and when Jim does Bob is not moving! Jim gets all the leeches off Bob and Jim walks back down the trail with Bob on his back.
When Jim gets about halfway down the trail and in the corner of his eye, he spots four tacos and Jim has a big decision to make. Jim saves two tacos so if Bob wakes up.
When Jim was about three quarters down the trail Bob wakes up and Jim cries with happiness and tells Bob “I found the tacos on the trail”. Bob eats the cheesy, meaty, sour creamy and soft shell tacos in five minutes. Jim Is so relieved because he does not have to carry Bob on his back.
An hour later Jim and Bob get to the hospital. The nurse came in to the room and gives the news to Jim so Bob got a broken leg and a fractured face Jim was perfectly fine but Bob did not get out of the hospital for a few weeks. Jim was so happy when Bob came out of the hospital. Not too long after the accident Bob got leg cancer and he got his leg amputated. Bob has a steel leg that he got lessons in the hospital to use. Everyday Jim and Bob walk down that same trail that Bob almost died on and they never lost there tacos again.

Last Run
The hum of the chair lift rattles my ski poles as we elevate to the topof mountain. Skiers slice through the soft fluffy snow and we spy onthem from up high in the sky.
I look over at Jeff to ask what run we are going to go on next, but the glare on my goggles makes it hard to see anything.
We are now just about at the point where we have to hop off of thechair lift and ski back down the mountain. But before I could even sayanything my skis clicked together and immediately drop at least fiftyfeet to the fluffy snow below. Before I could tell anyone or dosomething they started to zoom right back down the mountain.
Disappointment engulfs me, Jeff tries to make it better by saying, “Its all right we’ll get them to find them for us.”
When we got to the top we told the ski patrol what our dilemma was. They said that this was the last run of the day and that we were goingto have to get the chair back down the mountain. I did not want toleave my skis on the mountain stuck under the snow and the biggest partof why I didn’t want to leave them is because they were $500 and thatmoney came out of my pocket. So this would be a big upset if I couldn'tfind them.
Jeffsaid that we should just leave them and come back on a clearer day totry and find them, but I was already on my way down the mountain tofind my skis and you can imagine how hard this was, every step I took,I would sink at least 4 feet up to my chest, but I was not going togive up until I found my skis. Once I got to the point were they cameoff and dropped to the snow, I looked and looked and looked and lookedfor ten minutes but still I couldn't find them at all, then when I wasjust about to give in and stop looking there was this black tip justbarely peeking over the top of the hill.
Irushed down to the tree that it was hung up on and immediately dove ontop of them just to make sure that they wouldn’t start to slide evenfarther down the mountain.
Lookingback up the mountain I could see Jeff skiing down the very steep hillthat I just walked down to save my skis “Finally, you found them,” Jeffsays as I carefully put my foot in my bindings and push down hard tomake sure that this time they will not fall off. As we get to thebottom surprisingly with no problems I look over at Jeff and say “Ithink this is our Last Run.”

I
waited
for my dad
to bring home
the Christmas tree.
I was ssssssoooooooo
excited to bring in the tree.
I saw my dad pulling into the
drive way. I ran to my dad and
helped him bring in the tree. We brought
in the tree. It was a big one. We put it on its
stand and we put the lights on the tree it looked
so cool. Then we put the ornaments on the tree and
the angel on
top of the tree
and that is a cool
tree.

The Tree
Every
year we
get a pine
to decorate.
My mom does
the lights then me and
my brother hang the bulbs.
Then we all hang other things we
made. We turn on the multicolored
lights they shine brightly as we hang the
rest of the ornaments and then we hang the tinsel.
Then we hang the star
and then we look at it
and that is the tree.

The Christmas Tree
The
big bright
tree stands tall
in our living room,
whaiting to be decorated
with all kinds of colourful things
like candy canes and and toy trains
in the dark our christmas tree shines and
when it does it looks so colourful just as we
like our christmas tree when it shines it light’s up
our whole living room so we can see where we are
going in the dark and so we do not trip in the night.

Tasty Memories
I Remember When...
I could wake up to the sweet
sugar aroma of my moms baking.
I Remember When...
I would help out my mom make
cookies and then lick off the
goodness off the spoon.
I Remember When...
I can smell those peanut butter
cookies as they come out of the oven.
I Remember When...
I take a warm soft cookie off the
cooling rack and I can feel the
gushiness in my mouth as I chew
the warm cookie.

Tasty Memories
I remember the rich, warm, spicy smell of gingerbread baking in the oven. I was exited for them to be ready.
I remember stealing skittles, gummy, chocolate and icing of manydifferent colors from the counter which were supposed to be used todecorate gingerbread men.
Iremember a ginger bread man right in front of me waiting to bedecorated. I couldn't wait to eat my ginger bread man but I didn’t rush.
I remember the feeling of the fresh baked ginger bread man soft and moist.
I remember hearing, “I want the red gummy” from other people at the table.
I remember having fun decorating ginger bread men on Christmas Eve.

Our Tree
We
go to Ron’s
tree farm and cut
down the tallest and widest
tree we can find. We sit in Ron’s
little house with a warm cozy fire place
to warm up. As my parents my brother and I
step foot outside white snowflakes hit my winter coat.
We all thank Ron and walk to our truck. I step up and sit on
the seat. I don’t close the door until I smash my boots against the
truck to get all the snow to fall to the ground. We take off in our truck our
tree half out the back. When we get home we put the tree in the garage for two
or three days then my dad put up our trees and me and my mom get out all of our
Christmas ornaments. We call my brother and he comes down to help. first my dad and
momputs the lights all around the tree I am so exited to help decorate thetree. I ask every time where to put up every ornament I pick up. Me andmy brother every year about who gets to put up our old cat
Max’s Christmas
ornament.
